On February 24, 2026, during the 28th Session of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) Plenary, Professor and Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University, and Executive Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development Goals of Tsinghua University, Zhu Xufeng, attended the meeting as a CDP member at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA. He was also invited to give a special lecture at the headquarters of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The lecture was presided over by United Nations Under-Secretary-General and UNDP Deputy Administrator Xu Haoliang, with the attendance of former Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Kori Udovicki. Other attendees included heads and senior officials from relevant UNDP departments.

The lecture was titled "From International Commitment to Localization Strategy for Sustainable Development in China." Zhu Xufeng shared insights on the institutional pathways and governance practices of China's implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), systematically elaborating on how China translates the global development agenda into national strategies and local action plans, effectively transforming international commitments into institutional design, policy innovation, and governance practices. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the pathways for institutional transformation of SDGs, China's development model, governance capacity building, and international cooperation.
