The 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, from November 6 to 18. On the afternoon of November 17, the Climate Overshoot Commission held a COP27 Side Event: Reducing the Risk of Potentially Exceeding 1.5°C Warming" at the French Pavilion. Professor Xue Lan, Director of Institute for Sustainable Development Goals of Tsinghua University (TUSDG) and Dean of Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University, attended the event as a Climate Overshoot Commissioner.
