Tsinghua University and University of Geneva Sign Agreement on SDGs Cooperations

In January 2017, President of China Xi Jinping and President of the Swiss Confederation Doris Leuthard, jointly witnessed the signing of the memorandum between Tsinghua University and University of Geneva on a comprehensive education program for the SDGs. The signing of the memorandum marks the comprehensive cooperation between the two universities, including joint student education, high-level joint scientific research and the establishment of research centers for sustainable development.

Tsinghua University and the University of Geneva Roundtable in Davos

To accelerate the cooperation between the two universities, Tsinghua University and the University of Geneva, together with several international organizations, academic institutions, foundations and multinational enterprises, held a roundtable meeting in Davos on January 17, to discuss the collaboration between universities, international organizations and social institutions to attract more people to work on the SDGs, and work together to address the complex issues facing humanity.

During the roundtable, Presidents of the two universities signed the agreement of the dual degree program on sustainable development. They decided to establish an advisory committee for the SDG cooperation project. and invited Nikhil Seth to be the chair.
