On 5 June 2024, World Environment Day, the Forum on Sustainable Development Leadership 2024 and the kickoff of GoldenKey Innovation Program was held at Peking University, with the theme of 'Communication unites power, management drives change'. The event was co-hosted by China Sustainability Tribune, School of Journalism & Communication, Peking University, Institute of Culture and Communication, Peking University, Research Center for Green Economy and Sustainable Development Tsinghua University, the Institute for Global Sustainable Development Tsinghua Univeristy, and the Institute of Eco-civilization Studies and Professor of Economics, Beijing University of Technology, with State Grid Corporation of China as the partner organisation, and Zizhu National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Park as the strategic partner.

The guests held in-depth discussions on the paths to a green and low-carbon economy, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on how to respond to global environmental challenges through policy support, innovative technologies and international cooperation, and how to promote the key role of enterprises in sustainable development.

The forum also released the ‘GoldenKey Sustainable Development China Outstanding Actions Collection 2023’ as the fourth Golden Key Outstanding Actions Case Collection published by the Economic Digest of Sustainable Development, and inaugurated the SDG-Creative Communication Hub.

Finally, in the roundtable dialogue moderated by Wang Yalin, Head of Sustainable Investment and Business Group of UNDP China, representatives from academia, international organizations, industrial organizations and enterprises put forward suggestions on how to better and more actively participate in sustainable development for Chinese enterprises based on their different backgrounds.
