On the afternoon of 11 April, Professor Zhu Xufeng, Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management (SPMM), Tsinghua University and Executive Director of the TUSDG, discussed the history and development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with students and faculty members at the Tsinghua x-lab, and shared China's achievements and its practical experience in the field of sustainable development in the era of the SDGs 2015-2030. The event was co-hosted by Tsinghua x-lab and TUSDG, and co-organised by Tsinghua University Student Association of Belt and Initiative and  Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue . The event was hosted by Ms Hao Xiucheng, Director of Tsinghua x-lab. Through a detailed list of facts and figures, students felt that SDG is the biggest and most important public policy experiment in this era, and that China is increasingly becoming a large developing country and a reformer and leader of the global governance system, advocating global development issues. Tsinghua University SDG Open Innovation Marathon Challenge is an SDG innovation event organised by Tsinghua x-lab and supported by various organisations. So far, the event has been successfully held for five times, attracting more than 7,000 students to participate and generating more than 1,000 innovative solutions. The international track, which is co-organised by Tsinghua University and university organisations such as Imperial College of Science and Technology, Technische Universität München (TUM) in Germany, and the The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), has also greatly enhanced Tsinghua University's international influence, as well as the global competency of Tsinghua's students.
