Houngbo, Senior Professor of Liberal Arts at Tsinghua University, Dean of Schwarzman College, and Director of the TUSDG Xue Lan, professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University's Earth Institute, and Chairman of the International Academic Committee of the TUSDG, Jeffery Sachs, attended the event and delivered speeches. At the same time, the event invited representatives of Chinese and foreign business communities to dialogue and exchange views on topics such as public-private partnerships and sustainable industrial innovation practices.

Held every four years, the UN SDG Summit is the highest level UN summit on sustainable development, and this year's summit coincides with the mid-term review of the implementation of the SDGs. The event is organized with the support of the Center for Industrial Development and Environmental Governance (CIDEG), Tsinghua University and the Sustainable Entrepreneurs Platform.

As a core event of the General Assembly High-level Week 2023, the SDG Summit will be held on 18-19 September in New York. Leaders will be gathering to work towards a common goal: to put the world back on track and create a greener, cleaner, safer and fairer future for all. The Summit will adopt a forward-looking political declaration reaffirming commitment to the transformative goal of “ leave no one behind” at the core of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Over the course of two days, participants will agree on how to better move forward.
