On July 6, the 2022 International Scientific and Technological Innovation Conference on Green Development, hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the People's Government of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and co-organized by TUSDG and other organizations, was held in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Zhang Yupu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Chairman of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, delivered a welcome speech and made a presentation. Zhang Yuzuo, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the CAST, Vice Chairman in charge of daily work and First Secretary of the Registry, Zhao Yingmin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and member of the Party Group, and Yang Baojun, Chief Economist of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, delivered opening speeches respectively. Wu Xiuzhang, Vice Chairman of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region People's Government and member of the Party Leadership Group, Shu Wei, member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the CAST, Luo Hui, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Chinese CAST and Director of the International Cooperation Department of the CAST, as well as leaders and experts from the relevant national societies and organizations attended the opening ceremony. Alessandro Golombiewski Teixeira, Professor at Tsinghua University's School of Public Policy and Management, former Minister of Tourism of Brazil, and former President of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), spoke at the conference on the theme of “Green Innovation and Cooperation in the Age of Sustainable Development”.

Under the theme of “Green Low Carbon, Cooperation and Sharing”, the conference advocates the concept of green development, focuses on the theme of green science and technology, showcases cutting-edge trends in innovation, promotes cooperation in the green economy, shares experiences in green development, promote open and trustful cooperation among international scientific and technological communities around the realization of the “dual-carbon” goal. The conference released Ningxia's green energy development, green hydrogen production, green development technology needs and the Park City Index for the world, and conduct five thematic forums on the themes of green development, green energy development, green life, green hydrogen production and green agriculture.
