On June 1, 2021, the 2021 Forum on UN Sustainable Development, as an important part of The 2nd Conference of Gloabl Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, was successfully held in Qingdao.

With the theme of “Health in All Policies”, the forum aims to build an interconnected global partnership through an inclusive and effective multilateralism network. At the same time, the forum will focus on life health and global partnership, share the successful practices of the United Nations Sustainable Development Program, and discuss topics such as innovative financial cooperation mechanisms.

In his speech, Gao shared his insights on three issues: the background of the current global SDG health goal development, the current situation and major challenges facing the development of China's SDG health goal, as well as the basic path for China to realize the 2030 SDG health goal in the future. Gao Yuning said that the in-depth alignment of the national development plan with the 17 SDGs and 169 targets, and the national development master plan is the strategic path to realize and implement sustainable development in the future.

Gao Yuning also suggested that in addition to national planning, local development strategies need to be integrated into the UN's SDGs, such as improving relevant reforms, rule of law decision-making, and government responsibility, through institutional safeguards, and further through raising public awareness of responsibility and public advocacy. In addition, comprehensive and international cooperation between the public and private sectors, and the investment and integration of innovative resources in the industry will further promote and help China to achieve the SDGs.
