Zhu Xufeng, Executive Director of Tsinghua SDG Institute, signed the Cooperation Agreement with GEIDCO on behalf of SDSN
On 6 November, the 2019 Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) & China-Africa Energy and Power Conference opened at the China National Convention Center. More than 1,000 guests from 79 countries around the world gathered in Beijing to discuss the development of global and African energy internet during the two-day conference period, focusing on the two themes of“GEI - A Path towards Green, Low-carbon and Sustainable Development” and “African Energy Interconnection - A New Growth Driver of Africa”, which will discuss the development of global and African energy Internet and draw a new blueprint for the world's energy transition and sustainable development.
At the conference, Zhu Xufeng, Executive Director of Tsinghua SDG Institute, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) to jointly promote renewable energy development and utilization and grid interconnection, and to promote the development of the global energy internet construction.

The Institute for Sustainable Development Goals, Tsinghua University officially became the China Hub of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) on 14 February 2019. As an important hub connecting China and the world to jointly implement the SDGs, TUSDG is actively engaged in multi-party cooperation to boost China's sustainable development process and contribute Chinese wisdom and experience to global sustainable development.
