On March 21st, the Sustainable Food Systems and Land Use Project (Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land, and Energy (FABLE)) Panel Discussion was held at the School of Public Policy & Management, Tsinghua University (SPPM), which was hosted by TUSDG. Fan Shenggen, Director of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Guido Schmidt-Traub, Executive Director of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), Petr Havlik, modeling expert of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Jin Shuqin, Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Research Office of the Center for Rural Economy Research of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ma Lin, Director of the Ecology and Environment Research Department, Center for Agricultural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Guo Jie, Nanjing Agricultural University; Hua Fangyuan, Assistant Professor, Institute of Ecology, Peking University; Zhang Qian, Associate Researcher, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; and Li Yuanbo, Post-doctoral Researcher, SPPM, Tsinghua University, and other domestic and international delegates to discuss the landing and application of the integrated modeling of China's sustainable food system and land use.

The FABLE project, as a sub-theme of the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), mobilizes top research institutions from G20 countries, including China, to use models to establish sustainable food systems and sustainable development pathways for land use, and to help achieve the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
