TUSDG Appointed Ms. Irina Bokova, Former Director-General of UNESCO, as Member of International Advisory Committee of TUSDG
On January 21, 2019, the Institute of Sustainable Development Goals of Tsinghua University (TUSDG) officially appointed Ms. Irina Bokova, former Director General of UNESCO, as a member of International Advisor Committee of TUSDG of three years, and Xue Lan, Co-Director of TUSDG, presented her with a letter of appointment on behalf of Chairman Yang Bin of TUSDG in Geneva, Switzerland.

Irina Bokova, former Director-General of UNESCO, was Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to France and Monaco, Personal Representative of the President of Bulgaria to the International Organisation of la Francophonie (OIF) and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO from 2005 to 2009
Born in 1952, Irina Bokova received her MBA from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and studied at the University of Maryland and Harvard University in the United States. During her long and distinguished career, she has also served as Bulgaria's Representative to the United Nations, Bulgaria's Minister of European Integration and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Bokova has always promoted the transition process of European integration. As founder and Chairman of the European Policy Forum, she worked to overcome the divisions in Europe and to promote the values of dialogue, diversity, human dignity and human rights.
