On the morning of July 17, 2018, The Institute of Sustainable Development Goals of Tsinghua University (TUSDG) formally appointed Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI) Chair and United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Leadership Council Co-Chair John Thwaites as a member of the International Academic Committee of the TUSDG for a term of three years. The appointment ceremony was held at the School of Public Policy & Managment, Tsinghua University (SPPM), where Zhu Xufeng, Associate Dean of the SPPM, and Executive Director of TUSDG, presented the appointment letter on behalf of Yang Bin, Vice President of Tsinghua University and Chairman of TUSDG, Poon Kit Professor of SPPM attended the appointment ceremony.
