On the morning of 18th November, a four-member delegation of Associate Professor Zhang Yuquan and students from the China-UK Low Carbon College (LCC) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) visited the Institute of Sustainabel Development Goals of Tsinghua University (TUSDG). Zhu Xufeng, Executive Director of the TUSDG, Professor and Associate Dean of the School of Public Policy & Management (SPPM), Tsinghua University, Zhu Junming, Vice Director of TUSDG and Associate Professor of the SPPM, Tsinghua University, key researchers of the TUSDG and Yin Chengzhi and Zhao Jing, Associate Professors of SPPM, Zheng Yi, Head of the Office of the TUSDG, and 8 PhD students from SPPM participated in the discussion.

At the meeting, both sides introduced the basic situation and key achievements of TUSDG and the China-UK Low Carbon College of SJTU, such as the background of the establishment of the institute, scientific research, talent training, domestic and international exchanges and cooperation, industrial incubation, etc., respectively, and expressed their expectation for subsequent in-depth exchanges and comprehensive co-operation.
Founded in 2017, the China-UK Low Carbon College of STJU is the first low-carbon institute in China established by STJU, with the participation of the University of Edinburgh, University College London and other top universities in the United Kingdom, and it is the first low-carbon academy in China, founded with strong support from the Shanghai Municipality as a pilot zone for internationalized schooling in the field of low-carbon technology and carbon resource management.
Discussions between teachers and students
Subsequently, teachers and students from both sides carried out in-depth and multi-angle communication and discussion on their respective concerns, and welcomed to carry out more exchanges in the future, and to develop in-depth co-operation in the areas of talent cultivation, scientific research, social training and so on.
