On the morning of May 16th, a signing ceremony for the MEBO Group's donation to support the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University (SPPM) and the Institute for Sustainable Development Goals, Tsinghua University (TUSDG) was held at the SPPM's History Hall. The signing ceremony was attended by Yang Zhibin, President of MEBO Group, and Liu Gang, Vice President of MEBO Group, Zhu Xufeng, Professor and Dean of the SPPM and Executive Director of TUSDG, and Ji Jingwei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation. The ceremony was moderated by Zhong Wei, Associate Dean of the SPPM.
Zhu Xufeng began by expressing his sincere gratitude to MEBO Group and its Chairman Xu Peng, for their generous donation, and extended a warm welcome to Yang Zhibin and Liu Gang. He said that this donation is a deepening and upgrading of the cooperation between MEBO Group and SPPM following the five years after MEBO Group donated to TUSDG in 2020 and established a long-term partnership, and it is a new contribution for MEBO Group and SPPM to work together to promote the global governance system and sustainable development, and make new contributions to the construction of a better China and a harmonious world. Zhu Xufeng then introduced the SPPM's efforts in international talent cultivation, faculty development, and the construction of think tanks. He explained that the donation will be used to support scholarships for international students, the professional development of young faculty members, exchange programs for young Chinese and international students, and international academic collaborations in the field of sustainable development. Zhu Xufeng expressed his expectation that the future cooperation between the SPPM along with TUSDG and MEBO Group will reach new heights, jointly contributing to the cultivation of global talent, scientific research, and international exchange in the field of sustainable development.
Yang Zhibin expressed that MEBO Group's donation aims to inject innovative momentum into Tsinghua University's sustainable development talent cultivation. In his address, he reviewed the collaborative achievements between MEBO Group and Tsinghua University in areas such as addressing aging populations, constructing medical systems, and innovating global governance models, and expressed his expectation that the cooperation between the two parties in sustainable development and promoting youth participation in global governance will reach new heights.
Signing Donation Agreement
Representatives of both sides, Liu Gang and Ji Jingwei, signed the donation agreement, and Ji Jingwei presented a donation certificate to Liu Gang.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were Wang Fang, Assistant to the President of MEBO Group, Li Lin, Deputy Director of the International Business Department of MEBO Group, Zheng Yi, Head of the Office of TUSDG, and Lin Ping, Deputy Director of the Development Office of SPPM.
