The group standard "Guidelines for Carbon Emission Accounting and Assessment of Green Factory," led by the Institute for Sustainable Development Goals at Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SDG Institute), was approved and released by the China Association for Promoting International Economic & Technical Cooperation on August 11, 2025. Other participating organizations in the drafting of this standard included 15 universities and enterprises, such as China University of Mining and Technology, Central South University, and Central China Normal University.

This document specifies the accounting principles and processes, working procedures, accounting and reporting, and assessment for carbon emission accounting and assessment of green factories. It is applicable to enterprises for accounting carbon emissions of green factories, as well as to assessment organizations for assessing carbon emissions of green factories.
