Former President of Mongolia Nambaryn Enkhbayar Appointed to the Tsinghua SDG Institute International Advisory Committee

    On the afternoon of April 24, 2026, the Institute for Sustainable Development Goals of Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SDG Institute) formally appointed Nambaryn Enkhbayar, former President of Mongolia, as a member of its International Advisory Committee. The appointment ceremony was held at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University. The letter of appointment was presented by Xue Lan, Director of the Tsinghua SDG Institute, Distinguished Professor of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Tsinghua University, and Dean of Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University. The ceremony was moderated by Professor Zhu Xufeng, Executive Director of Tsinghua SDG Institute and Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University.

About Nambaryn Enkhbayar

    Nambaryn Enkhbayar, the 3rd President of Mongolia (2005–2009), is a prominent statesman and cultural figure dedicated to advancing Mongolia's sustainable development and regional cooperation. With a distinguished career spanning roles as Prime Minister, Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament) and Minister of Culture, he has long shaped Mongolia's national development agenda. Currently leading the national initiative to develop New Kharkhorin Capital City, former President Enkhbayar continues to contribute to Mongolia's future through policy leadership and efforts. He has been recognized with major national and international distinctions, including the Polar Star Order, one of Mongolia's highest civilian honors.
